Season Cut Short

Due to a Board of Trustees decision, the men's and women's basketball seasons will be cut short. The Board has decided to utilize the spring 2016 semester to reorganize the College and plan for the future at the expense of the second half of men's and women's basketball seasons. Chairman Barry Green has come into his new position with an aggressive and visionary approach to Barber-Scotia College and led the Board to this difficult decision after deliberating for nearly a week. The break in student related activities will give the College's leadership time to plan for a new era of Barber-Scotia College that will be centered on the accreditation process. With the close of the season upon us in January, let us honor the accomplishments of our coaches and student-athletes. 

- Coach Tony Spates collected his first intercollegiate win

- The men's basketball team was ranked during the season

- The women's basketball team was ranked during the season

- Walt Jackson III averaged over 16 pointes per game

- Shaq Wilson averaged 15.6 points, 4 assists, 4.8 rebounds and 2.2 steals per game

- Josh Beck averaged 2 steals per game

- Nate Strange averaged 3.3 steals per game ( 5th in USCAA )

- Amaya Scott averaged 13.4 points, 1 block and 2.1 steals per game

- Mykayla Greene averaged 13.1 points and 1 block per game

- Montana Moore shot 59.6 percent from the floor ( 2nd in USCAA )

- Ashleigh Turner averaged 3.1 steals per game
