Lady Sabers 65 Florida College 73

The women kicked off the double header against visiting Florida College who came all the way from Temple Terrace, Florida to suit up in Newsom Gymnasium. The game started with a familiar lackluster offense from the Lady Sabers out of the gate. They seem to be making a habit of falling behind early and having to scratch and claw to get back into games as the contest progresses. The home team could not contain Cox down low as she fueled a 14 point lead in the first half behind 16 first half points.

The home team would make a valiant comeback attempt behind the hot second halves of Amaya Scott and Mykayla Greene. Scott collected 12 of her 16 points in the 4th quarter and Greene added 8 of her 16 in the stretch run, but it wasn't quite enough as the Falcons left the gym with an 8 point victory.

Scott ended the game with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 steals. Greene had a line of 16 points and 9 rebounds. Montana Moore added 9 points and 6 rebounds.

The Lady Sabers will go home for the holidays and return to take on the Builders of Apprentice School on January 10th at home.
